Business Editors Along with casual dress and the 24/7 mindset of the new economy comes the newest reality of todays workplace: breakfast, lunch and dinner from the office coffee and vending machine. The global vending and refreshment services (i.e. coffee, soda, snacks, etc.) business is estimated at $31 billion and is expected to grow 15% this year. Fast-moving tech companies are part of this growth as they search for fuel to drive current employees and for perks as they woo new talent.
The introduction of a coffee machine in the Nowra Library in September was welcomed by many of our users. However, it was not until we put in a cafe style cable and chairs that the usage increased. Decisions were made that users would be able to take their coffee, chocolate, etc into the library with only the PC area being out of bounds. Many people seemed reluctant to do this. The change in use and attitude was partially attributable to our young users, who during last years study vacation were purchasing chocolate drinks and bringing them to their study carrels and tables. This example seemed to encourage more people to take their drink purchase into the library. Shoalhaven City Library

Proposed transaction is in line with objective to redeploy capital for higher returns Under the terms of the agreement, in addition to acquiring GE Moneys loan, credit card, and mortgage businesses, Shinsei Bank plans to retain and work closely with GE employees in these businesses as part of its strategy to expand its position in the Japanese consumer credit marketplace. Cary, President and CEO of GE Money, said, In an extremely challenging environment, we have completed an agreement that fully meets our core strategic objectives: giving our Japanese business the opportunity to work with a partner committed to investing in Japan, and allowing GE Money and GE to redeploy its capital to areas which will generate strong sustainable long-term growth and returns for our shareowners.

LaserLaser light is a special type of glow. In some materials, a photon passing near an atom with an outer-orbital electron in a high-energy state can, without being absorbed or deflected, stimulate that electron to drop to a lower energy state. The electron gives up its energy in the form of a photon that is of the same wavelength as the impinging photon, in phase with it, and traveling in the same direction. (To say that two photons are in phase means that, if they are considered as waves extended through space, their peaks and troughs are aligned; peak matches peak and trough matches trough.) Such light is termed coherent. Coherent light is rare in nature because atoms in most light sources (e.g., the Sun) are

A dog is a loyal companion, who would defend you to the end. Yes he can be stubborn, but hes still your very best friend. He knows when youre up and senses when youre down, cos totally out of the blue. he becomes a clown, just for you!
Though the term “petting” may seem quaintly archaic in the sexually frank latter days of the twentieth century it reveals a lot about sexual attitudes in the earlier part of the century in which it was coined. Describing pre-intercourse sexual acts or foreplay the word petting manages to capture both the innocence and the euphemistic repression that we identify with the 1950s and early 1960s.This post-World War II period which is loosely referred to as “the fifties” was characterized by coded and metaphorical references to sex the baseball metaphor being one of the most common. There are regional differences in the meanings of the bases but one common definition describes first base as passionate kissing second base as touching the (girls) breasts third base as touching the (girls) genitals with the (boys) hands and home base as intercourse. Likewise the definitions of necking and petting have been a subject of intense debate especially among those engaged in the activity but necking is generally described to be passionate physical contact occurring above the neck while petting comprises attention to the parts of the body below the neck. Evelyn Duvall author of a much-used sex education guide of the 1950s Facts of Life and Love for Teenagers defines petting as “the caressing of other more sensitive parts of the body in a crescendo of sexual stimulation.” She also warns “These forces are often very strong and insistent. Once released they tend to press for completion.”
For thousands of years people have kept and cared for domesticated animals often developing strong emotional ties with their pets and regarding them as members of the family. While once important for the services they provided–including rodent control hunting and guarding–pets have become even more popular as companions. Noting that relationships between people seem to be less reliable and more complicated Veterinarian Aaron Katcher described the appeal of pets explaining that animals offer “a much less difficult relationship.” Pets have made an impact on more than just their owners however. Stories of pets heroism hilarious escapades and loyal companionship abound throughout popular media. The dramatic heroism and unbreakable devotion of some animals is reflected in literature. In stories like The Incredible Journey (1961) loyal pets brave the Canadian wilderness to find their families Wilbur wins the heart of a small farming community in Charlottes Web (1952) and in The Odyssey only Argus Odysseus dog recognizes him upon his return.Animal stories have proven to be potent material for Hollywood movies. In 1957 Old Yeller broke the hearts of American movie audiences with the story of a dog who lost his own life in order to save that of a boys. The little dog Benji used cunning intelligence to solve crimes in the 1970s. The 1980s and 1990s saw a virtual explosion of live and animated films starring pets. Hooch slobbered his way through a murder mystery with Tom Hanks in Turner and Hooch (1989). The true story of Balto the Siberian husky who carried the diphtheria serum 650 miles from Nenama to Nome in 1925 became a moving animated film in 1995. And hits such as Beethoven 101 Dalmatians and Babe scored at the box office with stories of animal ingenuity.

Like any asset a business is only worth what the market is willing to pay. But timing is important too and although the market is currently very buoyant that might be set to change. Elizabeth Light looks at the current state of the businesses-for-sale market and at how businesses are valued. Business sales have boomed in the past couple of years and prices have increased. While the rises arent quite reaching the stratospheric heights seen in the residential and commercial property markets there have been sub- stantial rises in some business sectors. Just how big they are is hard to define as no statistics are collected for business sales. Geoff Smart, a business broker at Simes Ltd in Christchurch, points out that there are all sorts of businesses in many different industry sectors, and in different geographies, so the increases are not across-the-board.
To be successful in business, its imperative to know who the customer is and how they perceive your products and services. This sounds elementary, but the concept is actually complex. Great Lakes Marketing can help businesses identify who a companys customers are, where they are and their desires. The company has experienced 30 percent growth for the past few years and has nearly 100 employees. Dixon says their progress can be attributed to hiring excellent professionals. It has also been helpful to gain contracts with the federal and state governments which have led to other contracts with private manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies. Market research is a way to collect, analyze and interpret information to make better decisions. Businesses uses the statistics gathered to reduce risks, improve existing products, identify new opportunities and areas for improvement. Dixon says, “Improved products and services today are a direct result of corporations talking to customers. Nothing beats learning about your product or service through the eyes of your customer.”
CROWDS flocked to a bustling market run entirely by enterprising school pupils. Bedlington Market Place came alive with the sights and sounds of busy stalls as the pupils sold handmade goods. Organised by Wansbeck Education Enterprise Network (WEEN), the event is the latest in an ongoing series of activities aimed at equipping youngsters of all ages with the tools that they need in order to become confident adults. Pupils developed their business skills by conducting their own market research and handling budgets.

Pirates favored ships that were easily maneuverable and fast, so they could swoop down on their victims or get away quickly from pursuing ships. During the Golden Age of piracy, wooden sailing ships were the norm. These were the most common. — SLOOPS: Small, one-masted ships that were very fast. — BARQUES: With three or more masts, these were slower, but their large size meant they could hold a larger crew that could easily overpower smaller ships.

These ships are multi-mission, anti-air warfare (AAW), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), long-range strike and anti-surface warfare (ASUW) surface combatants capable of supporting carrier and expeditionary strike groups (ESG), amphibious forces, or of operating independently and as flagships of surface action groups. WHATs the hottest commodity in business today? It just may be business coaches, as entrepreneurs across the country scramble to find personal gurus to help make them better at what they do.Sounds like a consultant, you say? Not exactly. While in some cases consultants also work as coaches, the differences lies in the aim and intensity of the service. Coaches offer a one-on-one relationship with entrepreneurs thats far more personal than in other consulting arrangements. They work behind the scenes, with their primary mission to support, develop and empower the entrepreneur–and, eventually, put themselves out of business. While consultants are in the business of selling their expertise, coaches are in the business of bringing out the best in you.”A coach enables you to become self-sufficient and self-reliant,” explains Helen Rothberg, a business professor and coach at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. “I teach my clients how to `fish for themselves, so they only need my services for a limited time. My aim is to put control back in the hands of the people who own the business, not in the hands of experts.”

THE biggest threat to the banks traditional stanglehold over their customers comes from the internet. Some analysts believe that the new web-based entrants into the financial services market could within a decade have eclipsed the high street banks altogether. So-called Monoliners, on the other hand, are able to focus on providing just one type of financial product - say personal loans, high interest deposit accounts or mortgages - direct to their consumers, and usually via the internet. The best known examples are Prudentials Egg, Standard Life Bank and Charles Schwab, the web- based stockbroker. The banks are to some extent handicapped in this market, whose potential they were slow to acknowledge. Their old-fashioned infrastructures, based on a mixture of branch banking and electronic media, mean they are obliged to make a virtue out of having what they term a multi-channel distribution strategy. Given the choice, and were it not for political considerations, many banks would probably close many of their branches tomorrow.

The Internet is the global network of inter-connected computers and servers available to the public. The World Wide Web is the collection of graphically intensive Web pages that have enabled the Internet to become a societal phenomenon. The first four universities connected to ARPANET were Stanford University, the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of California-Santa Barbara, and the University of Utah. Communications research in the 1960s led to decentralized networks, queuing theory, and packet switching. These technologies allowed different types of computers to send and receive data. Computers transmitted information in a standardized protocol called packets. The addressing information in these packets told

Cutaneous and cosmetic laser surgery. (DVD-ROM included)
A man sits in the living-room like lobby of the Lovelace Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery Center in Albuquerque, leafing through a magazine and listening to piped-in music.A close friend of his, in the same building for the same reason, exits out another door. Neither knew the other was there.Thats how well cosmetic surgeons obey their patients wish for secrecy, says DeeDee Hays, the centers manager.Elective cosmetic surgery for men and women as well as reconstructive breast surgery for women is one of medicines biggest growth industries.
Once considered the province of 50-something women, cosmetic surgery is gaining popularity among both sexes of all ages. Driving the trend is a combination of improved surgical techniques and baby boomers seeking to delay aging.”We see a lot of professionals who work in the corporate world or own businesses,” says J. Barry Boyd, a plastic surgeon in Winter Park, Florida. “Cosmetic surgery has become a common choice for them to maintain their appearance and physique.”In 1994, approximately 41 percent of aesthetic plastic surgical procedures were performed on people aged 35 to 50. Boyd says having procedures at a younger age may minimize the need for more extensive surgery later and may produce better results.
criminal defense lawyer houston
December 31st, 2008
INTRODUCTION Whatever one thinks of Tarlows policy, this case highlights an important truth. For Barry Tarlow and many other defense attorneys, the practice of criminal defense is about much more than helping individual clients achieve their individual goals. Criminal defense attorneys are often motivated by an intricate set of moral and ideological principles that belie their reputations as amoral (if not immoral) hired guns who, for the right price, would do anything to get their guilty clients off. (3) Some of the collateral causes advanced by these attorneys are laudable while others are not. But almost all of them raise ethical concerns that the rules of ethics and professionalism are not well-equipped to resolve. This is a noteworthy problem because cause-lawyering has played an important role in socio-legal movements in this country. The cause-motivated approach to lawyering contradicts the traditional view of those in the legal profession as rights-enforcers or as neutral advocates of their clients interests. (4) Weighing the virtue of neutrality in an advocate versus that of activism, the ethics and professional responsibility literature seems to embrace the former as the more appropriate of the two. Lawyers are strongly advised to be zealous but neutral advocates of their clients interests. (5) They also have a duty of loyalty to clients that may prohibit them from representing clients in cases where the attorney feels the pull of professional, personal, or political interests distinct from those of the client. (6)
Fourteen years after its release, My Cousin Vinny retains a devoted audience in the criminal defense legal community. This spring, two presenters at a National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers conference used clips from the movie to teach young lawyers the finer points of voir dire, cross-examination and trial strategy. Several other criminal defense lawyers told Lawyers USA they routinely cite scenes from the movie to illustrate key legal points - both with other attorneys and their clients. Most movies dont really get into trial procedure, but My Cousin Vinny does, Miller said. Movies are great because they dramatize and bring a reality - even when fictional or funny - to law in action in a way that the classroom does not. Even a sensationalized scene like the Cruise-Nicholson confrontation in A Few Good Men, tells the student that courtroom drama plays out in real life, although admittedly rarely in the stark form that Hollywood offers.

Our listings as well as our services and resources are now readily available to the millions of consumers who frequent these great Internet sites. Prudential Real Estate teamed with Cyberhomes earlier this month to offer Value Range Estimates and Property Profiles, free consumer services now available on Prudential.com/realestate. Abstract Despite the large amount of research that has been devoted to analyzing the determinants of residential real estate agent income, little attention has been directed at how this income is generated.1 Numerous papers (e.g., Follain, Lutes, and Meier, 1987; Glower and Hendershott (1988); and Crellin, Frew, and Jud, 1988) have found that education, experience, firm size, and hours worked have a positive impact on agent income. Abelson, Kacmar, and Jackofsky (1990), Sirmans and Swicegood (1997), and Simians and Swicegood (2000) also found a positive relationship between non-pecuniary factors such as job satisfaction and agent performance. These studies assume, if only implicitly, that salespeople are indifferent as to the way this income is produced, whether from their own listings or from the sale of other agents listings. This, in fact, may not be the case. Certain agent activities may well have greater income producing potential than other types of actions. If this conjecture is true, then specialization in those types of activities would provide the greatest potential for income production. For example, effort spent in generating property listings may prove more productive than the same amount of effort spent trying to market these properties to buyers. Agents are not all created equal; those salespeople who have the talent or skill set that makes them more effective at listing and selling property may also earn more than agents specializing in sales of property to buyers or vice versa. Alternatively, a balanced output of listings and sales may prove more revenue enhancing given current industry commission sharing arrangements. It is also possible that agents and firms, while both seeking to maximize their gains, do so in a different manner. The purpose of this research is to examine whether or not specializing in one side of the real estate transaction or producing a more balanced production portfolio of both listings and sales has a differential impact on agent income.
Listings ad package delivers greater value to advertising partners and increased exposure to millions of home shoppers According to comScore Media Metrix, the number of unique visitors to real estate sites was up to 41.2 million in the past year, and Yahoo! Real Estate has seen its unique visitors increase 22 percent in year over year analysis. Additionally, Yahoo! (comScore Media Metrix July 2008 report) Home sellers engage Realtors[R] who are savvy marketers and expect their homes to be advertised in well-branded areas, says Rob Wicker, Homes Lands Chief Marketing Officer. Featured listings are a vital tool in attracting active buyers as well as an important way for our advertisers to demonstrate to their sellers that their home sale is a top priority.

From a public perspective, what is the core identity or role of the chiropractic profession in health care? Are chiropractors mainstream or alternative, primary care providers or specialists, and what is the best brand or identity for the profession?Since May, the WFC has been collecting e-mail databases from its 80 member national associations and others. All e-mail addresses have been stripped of names and other information in order to protect privacy rights. This gives the WFC information for every chiropractor who has an e-mail address and has furnished it to his or her association. DCs will receive passwords and information about the survey in late September.
It is unlikely that you became a chiropractor to work in an ER. Imagine my surprise when members of our hospitals chiropractic department were asked to take a call in the emergency department (ED)! We are now in our second year of providing chiropractic coverage to the ED. In November 2000, Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, New Jersey began offering chiropractic care in the ED. In an effort to satisfy the Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditations mandate to better address pain management, Meadowlands ED Director Gina Puglisi,MD, and Albert Cataffi,DC, former chiropractic department chief, developed and instituted a “chiropractor on-call” program. Dr. Puglisi readied the chiropractors with an orientation program to define the roles of the chiropractors and the rest of the ED in treating neck and back pain patients. Patients who present to the ED with neck or back pain are screened by the attending ED physician, who is responsible for ruling out serious pathology, fracture, neurological deficit, and other findings that might contraindicate spinal manipulation. The ED physician may order x-rays, blood work or other diagnostic tests. When a severe condition presents, orthopedists, neurologists or neurosurgeons are enlisted to take over the case. Historically, all patients without serious pathology were given prescriptions and discharged from the hospital, with or without adequate relief. With our chiropractor-on-call program, the ED physician now has the option of calling for a chiropractic consultation, which gives the patient the opportunity to receive additional relief.

The firm will relocate at tile end of January 1993 from Heron Tower where Cushman Wakefield helped Schiff Hardin establish its New York office in June 1991. Neil Goldmacher and Barry Rosner of Williams Real Estate represented the sublessor.
Adaptive re-use may pose a far greater design challenge for architects, but I would argue that it is both feasible and cost effective. Currently the New York City Police Department is constructing a new scientific laboratory within a 1930s warehouse building in Jamaica, Queens. Having directed the feasibility studies, programming and design of such a specialized facility, I am convinced of the opportunities that await us in the “found spaces” of New York City. Many firms, including our practice, have focused upon restoring and adapting existing buildings and spaces. Smart property owners are currently taking inventory on their existing stock of buildings, to identify major repairs and preventive maintenance, in addition to looking at ways to resituate their real estate assets to accommodate new requirements. Architects are being hired to perform condition surveys, budget analysis, and strategic design, all of which is essential to the leasing and re-construction process. The fact is that in the 1990s tenants or buyers seem to have a tremendous advantage in selecting among many types of properties, but the existing design features, mechanical and electrical services, and ease of adapting the space will have an influence upon the selection of a particular property. The architect can act as a liaison while also taking on turn-key responsibility for the fitting out and move in of new tenants.

Health is a measure of quality of life that is difficult to define and measure. In the 1940s, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. At the first International Conference on Health Promotion in Ottawa, Canada (1986), the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion built on the WHOs concept and further defined health as a resource for everyday life. a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capabilities. Good health enables one to function independently within a changing environment.
Exercise and Cancers: Research Opportunities for Health-Related Fitness ScientistsRepresentatives from the American Cancer Society (ACS), the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will challenge AAHPERD members to contribute to cancer prevention and control, describing the most promising research opportunities and resources to support investigation of the relationships between cancers and exercise. The presentation will be based on a synoptic article being developed by the ACS and the Office for Health Promotion of Northern Illinois University. Ruth Corcoran of ACS will describe a proposed collaborative research agenda, suggesting that two sets of consensually developed guidelines are needed to promote such research: one set to facilitate dissemination of what experts already know to the public and providers (including exercise specialists); and a second set to facilitate further collaborative research. Speakers from CDC and NCI will outline what is known about these topics, and how exercise scientists can contribute to further development (see accompanying abstracts). Presenters will recommend a process to develop research priorities, involving cancer experts, public health scientists, and relevant interest groups in AAHPERD. Members will be asked to contribute ideas for a research agenda. The Cancer-Exercise Agenda: Opportunities in Applications Research

PEP PILLS: Marketed as Funk Pills or Party Pills and made from a chemical derived from the pepper plant. Developed as a worming treatment for cattle. Replicates the rush of ecstasy, but users should be careful of overdosing. pounds 5-pounds 7 for 2-3 pills AMANITA MUSCARIA (FLY AGARIC): Red-capped, white-spotted mushroom long known for its psychoactive effects. Not covered by the Governments ban on “magic mushrooms” since it does not contain psilocin. Users should start with low doses. pounds 14 for 12g SALVIADIVINORUM: Herb that can create an intense high lasting less than an hour. Not recommended as a recreational drug. pounds 10- pounds 17 a bag
They have exotic names like Funk Pills, Amsterdam Gold, Kratom Leaf and Ayahuasca Sacrament and promise effects which range from the mildly euphoric to “ecstasy-style” energy rushes and hallucinogenic experiences. Ironically, the trade has been stimulated by the Governments decision last year to ban “magic mushrooms”, which contain the hallucinogenic psilocin, which had been sold through the internet and in places such as Camden market in north London. The ban left a gap in the market, with consumers and vendors looking for new products. Mark Evans, of every-onedoesit.com, a leading internet-based mail order company, said the increase in trade since last year had been “massive”. “There is a huge gap in the market. These consumers are not going to disappear, they are just looking for alternatives.” Mr Evans, whose company also sells cannabis seeds, said there had been a change in the culture of people who consumed recreational drugs. “We do a lot of festivals and speak to people who say they are fed up with dealers and taking drugs - like ecstasy - where they cannot always be confident that they know what is in the pill.”
Despite all the bad stuff, its impossible not to be insistently impressed by the extremely potent blend of adventure, ingenuity and determination that has brought humanity thus far. And so it is today with our report that last years ban on magic mushrooms has stimulated a search and demand for legal alternatives that is, well, mushrooming. I can remember, too, experimenting with herbal cigarettes of the legal variety, about as exciting as those “new smoking material” ones, if clearly more effective in the lung-barbecueing area, and only marginally more enjoyable than reading Carlos Castanedas ramblings about warrior-travellers walking the impeccable path under the influence of cactus cocktails. So, while not wishing to exercise undue influence as you dither between Amsterdam Gold and Fly Agaric, I would like to reveal how I have achieved my most recent legal highs, the ones that have provided great gusts of chuckling delight: 1. The portly fellow playing croquet. 2. David Camerons choice of “Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West)”. 3. The illegal cleaners at the immigration offices. 4. George Galloway. 5. Guy Goma. 6. Boris Johnson playing football. 7. Red wine stops you going deaf. 8. MI6s mobile Moscow rock. 9. Another crushing victory for St Helens against Wigan. 10. And there was that sunny day a few weeks back. Ah, yes: Life, the best stimulant.

Ask most people the question and be prepared for silence and a blank stare. But when we asked some Long Islanders to talk about their office chairs they responded with the enthusiasm, even passion, usually reserved for answering questions about their loved ones. No matter if the chair cost $212 or $2,800 or has been used since 1974, for these people the simple matter of parking it to get down to business has become a love affair.
Think comfort, flexibility, and appearance, and youre on the right track. When it comes to office furniture, few items are more important than a comfortable office chair. Studies have shown that the chairs used by office professionals affect both productivity and stress levels. But what makes an office chair ideal? Heres a look at the features to consider in selecting the perfect chair.

Theres no place like home, Dorothy said. Anywhere I hang my hat is home, goes the old Johnny Mercer standard. Both are true and both are different. Home is one particular place, not like any other, and home is a feeling that can be created many times in many places. But before the utopian future arrives when all design recognizes these realities, were here trying to make a home. MS is very likely to change a familys requirements–starting with the urgent need to save energy for the good stuff. At the same time, finances may be pinched and options limited. Still, the questions are nearly universal. Can your home be safer? Can cleaning it be easier? Do adaptations have to look medical or threaten to devalue property? Do they have to cost the earth? The National MS Society would like to be your ally as you work out your own answers to these questions. We have some helpful publications–in print and on the Web site. We also think there is much to be gained from sharing information with each other. And wed like to remind everyone that occupational therapists (OTs) are the specialists who know the most about practical changes at home or work to meet needs imposed by MS. IT STARTED as a small dress shop and a gun store in a Stockholm suburb, inspired by cheap post-war American fashion. Almost 50 years later, the fashion company HM is poised to overtake Marks Spencer as Europes largest clothing retailer. It is all a far cry from 1947 when a humble salesman called Erling Persson went to America and was impressed by the low-cost clothing stores he saw there. He returned to Sweden and opened a shop called Hennes (meaning “hers” in Swedish) in the Stockholm suburb, with the slogan “fashion and quality at the best price”. The company grew slowly through the 1960s and opened its first store in Britain in 1978. It had a reputation for providing good, cheap, if slightly unadventurous, high street fashion. But in 1998, Mr Persson handed control of the company over to his son Stefan, and suddenly the profile of HM began to rise through word of mouth and increased mentions on the fashion pages of glossy magazines.

People are demanding whole-house music, Apgar says. Even if they dont think they want it for themselves, they perceive a need for it when they entertain. At the basic level, AES customers choose a three-room system which typically includes a home theater, master bedroom, and kitchen. Five- and seven-room packages are common as well, with SpeakerCraft speakers starting at about $350 a pair and going up to $1,200 or more a pair. It doesnt stop there. AES2 sells speakers for bathrooms, hallways, and even outdoors. In-wall and in-ceiling speakers are the primary enablers of the multi-room music movement. Speakers that mount in the wall or ceiling can be painted or even papered to blend in with room decor. Gone are the days when you had to devote floor space to have a high-quality music system. It hasnt always been this way in custom audio. In-wall speakers used to be me-too products that were best suited to background listening rather than dynamic music passages. Now even high-end loudspeaker companies have attached their valued brand names to in-wall speakers. Its not unusual to see $1,000-, $3,000-, or even $5,000-a-pair speaker systems for listening rooms and home theaters. SpeakerCrafts $50,000-a-pair Rogue in-walls grab most-expensive honors with a 6-foot-tall ribbon speaker thats custom made, painted, and finished to customer specifications.

Homeowners looking to refurbish their houses but unwilling to use expensive credit cards to finance it will soon be served by a new, locally based loan company specializing in home improvement loans. American First Mortgage Source Inc. will open Feb. 1 at 504 W. Mission Ave., in Escondido. Jess Chinchillas, founder of the company, recently returned to the county after serving as vice president for The Money Store, a Sacramento-based home lender. The home improvement loan is secured by a lien on the subject property, he added. Since the average home improvement loan is smaller than other kinds of home equity loans, but has just as much paperwork, the points charged are usually proportionally higher, he added.

Content includes simple, non-technical descriptions of Eastmans products and demonstrates their use through application successes, providing links throughout for additional information. It is an innovative resource for designers and brand owners that facilitates awareness of Eastmans products and enables inspiration for new products. In addition, it encourages the improvement of existing products, the development of new market categories and the stimulation of the senses.

represents and further pushes our white-on-white brand tradition. I
wanted to eliminate the clutter while still being fully intuitive and
ensuring that our award-winning work remains the focal point of the site
experience,” explained Fabian Geyrhalter, Principal and Creative Director
of Geyrhalter Design.
“Additionally, as technology progresses, users expect ease of navigation
and accessibility of both company information and important insights. We
believe weve achieved this not only with our clean layout and design, but
also through our news section and blog: a space for thoughts inspirations
and critiques.”

Relationships with family and friends matter a great deal to children and are also important to long-term emotional and psychological development. The United Kingdom compares poorly in that area with other countries. Most distressingly, we have the lowest proportion reporting that their peers are kind and helpful - less than half say that is the case compared with more than 80 per cent in Switzerland.

John Osbornes first play, Look Back in Anger, had its premiere in 1956 and he called it a formal, old-fashioned play. His second play, The Entertainer, was set during the Suez Crisis and opened in 1957. What was new about both was that the characters were real working-class people. No real parts had been written about working- class characters before - only “cheeky chappy” roles such as Doolittle in Pygmalion. When asked if I wanted to go to see The Entertainer I was uncertain. Why? I had worked backstage on a brilliant amateur production (by the Tavistock Rep) in 1969 and it had stayed in my mind, with few productions since to affect the fond memories. How wrong I was to hesitate. For me this production, under Sean Holmess direction, ticks all the boxes and putting it on 50 years after it was set is brilliant timing. So much of it resonates in 2007: a misguided war in the Middle East and young men dying needlessly; the obsession with skinny/size zero women; fading performers (or “personalities”) trying to reinvent themselves; feelings against politicians of either party; comments about the Poles and the Irish; and confusion over national identity.

kids. Today, nearly 8 million U.S. households own at least one RV — a 15
percent increase over the past four years and a stunning 58 percent gain
since 1980.
The RV combines your transportation, lodging and restaurant all in one. RVs
come fully equipped with state-of-the-art kitchens, bathrooms, central air
and heat, queen-sized beds, entertainment systems and more, allowing you to
bring all the comforts of home when you travel. Many provide kid-friendly
areas with bunks, extra storage and additional entertainment systems.
Campgrounds, like other resorts, offer something for everyone — swimming
pools, playgrounds, game rooms, boating, fishing, nature trails, planned
activities and more! There are over 1,000 campgrounds in Michigan, located
near popular destinations, along major tourist routes and even in
metropolitan areas.
TROY and Sue Massey of Montgomery, Ala., like to take to the open road in their sparkling 42-foot recreation vehicle to enjoy scenic vacations throughout the countryside. They enjoy camping, attending tailgate parties and just relaxing as they soak up the sun. Julia and DeeEarl Vaden of Las Vegas say their sleek and spacious recreation vehicle (RV) is like a second home. Its a place where happy memories are made amid the great outdoors. I enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of recreation-vehicle travel, says Kelly, 38, a sales manager for a major utility company in Atlanta. Its also a great way to enjoy nature. Last Christmas, we went to Pine Mountain, Ga. It was a nature lovers dream.
ABSTRACT Policy makers in beach communities are faced with limited resources and continuing demand for public services, and must make difficult decisions about how to allocate the public funds entrusted to them. Those in charge of protecting and managing vital beach resources must justify their decisions in terms of benefits to the natural environment and demonstrate fiscal accountability if they wish to maintain public support. Often they are asked to justify their decisions in terms of the economic value that is generated for the community (Font, 2000). One of the primary economic benefits that these communities enjoy is spending related to beach tourism. Beach related tourist activity in the Northwest Florida area has long been a major source of employment for local residents, sales for local companies, and tax revenues for local government. Tourisms contribution to economic activity in the area is therefore an important consideration in community planning. Economic analyses that provide tangible estimates of these economic interdependencies and a better understanding of the role and importance of tourism in a regions economy are valuable to policy makers.

Fans looking to squeeze in a spot of shopping are spoilt for choice in Cardiff.
LONDONS famous Hatton Garden jewellery district is the centre of an extensive street crime racket. Muggers and gangsters from all over Britain are using some of its exclusive shops to pass on their ill-gotten gains - many of which have been stolen to order. In just one afternoon, the Sunday Mirror discovered three jewellery dealers who knowingly take expensive stolen goods. And two of them made it obvious they furnish muggers and thieves with high-class “shopping lists”.
Shopping takes on a whole new meaning in the Summit City. Going on a spree may mean traveling to one location and visiting numerous stores. Or, it could mean traveling to a variety of quaint shops in a number of different centers. But no matter what youre looking for Fort Wayne has a mix of higher-end retailers and moderately priced stores that fit the needs and budgets of shoppers everywhere. Located on the north side of the city, Glenbrook is anchored with three department stores - L.S. Ayres, JC Penney and Sears. It also boasts more than 160 specialty stores for shoppers of all ages and tastes. Abercrombie Fitch, Aeropostale, Banana Republic, Childrens Place, Gap, Gap Kids, Limited and Limited, Too are just a small sampling. And, when youre famished after all the shopping, you can choose to enjoy a leisurely meal at one of two restaurants or grab a quick bite at any of 12 other eating establishments, many of which are located in the Apple Glen Food Court.

Typically, hotel staff members clean carpeting, according to Greg Rosenblatt, administrative manager for Stark Carpets. Hotel personnel should consult with a qualified carpet cleaner to develop a service plan thats appropriate for the type of carpet and its usage. With the right cleaning schedule and methods, carpet can be kept looking like new.
